ConstructionThis type of expansion joints is made of several chemical resistant layers. The main materials are based on fluoroplastic (PTFE). Nowadays fluoroplastic is the most chemical resistant material. For highly abrasive environments we use materials based on fluoroelastomer reinforced by Kevlar or stainless steel grid. ApplicationTypical place of application of this type of expansion joints is critical parts of gas removal and cleaning systems. High chemical resistance to acids and alkalis, low rigidity and big compensation capacity in all directions along with small size. Humidity resistance of applied materials allows operation in humid environments. |
